Thumbs up Camping World Internet Orders

Recently received some good medical news so decided to celebrate by letting loose of some money. Like many others we are members of Amazon Prime and we've also been known to hit Walmart for some camping accessories. This time I decided to see how Camping World compares.

I just placed an order with Camping World for a Wineguard Wingman ($24.97) and a Wall Up Privacy screen ($80.98) all with free shipping. The free shipping depends on how much you spend.

At any rate, Amazon Prime was $31.12 and $99 respectively for the 2 items and Walmart was $34.37 and $99.

I am a Good Sam member so this affected the Camping World pricing.

I wish you luck. I ordered several items from CW once. Got emails saying the items had shipped. Waited. Finally got one of the items. Waited. Finally got one more. Called CW about the others. "Oh, those have shipped". Waited. Called CW back. "Those items have been on backorder for a while". I find out they never had the items to ship in the first place, but took my money and told me otherwise.
Do yourself a favor asap - call and ask if your items are in stock!

Yup at that price they will not have any in stock and likely you will be waiting months for your items.

UPS has been sending me e-mail updates since I ordered on 2/15. Shipped and supposed to arrive on 2/21.

Why a positive money saving story turns into CW bashing is beyond me. Congrats on the savings.

I order stuff from CW online all the time. Never have had any problems at all.

I just wait until I have enough to qualify for free shipping. I have a CW store twenty minutes away, but they don't have everything that's in the catalog and rarely honor the online sale price.

I do wish they would do like Walmart and Sears and have 'ship to store' so shipping costs wouldn't even be a factor. Maybe some day
I also don't understand why folks are so angry with CW. They definitely have their good points and bad, just like every other business.

I really hope it works out. Last time I ordered from CW online I received damaged product, and you could tell it wasn't the carrier's fault.

I use CW all the time. Have never had a problem. Even when returning stuff, no problem. Prices are always reasonable. CW in Anderson, CA has also don about $7,000 repair work caused by blown tire. No problem. I bought my 2014 Wildwood from them too. Good price and excellent treatment. I've been to the Flagstaff store and they were wonderful as well.

What I have done in the past is do my research on prices and shipping, print out the item from camping world online and call the store to see if it is available locally. If so, I go down and they honor the online sale price and you have it now instead of having to wait.

I apologize to anyone offended - wasn't trying to make it sound like "CW bashing". Was just relaying my experience with on-line ordering from CW. They had several chances to let me know they didn't have the items I paid for, but kept stringing me along. Even when I finally canceled the order, it was over six weeks before they processed the credit.
I still stop in their stores when I get near one, and always buy an item or two that I don't really need, but no more on-line orders.

While I don't believe I'd ever do business with them (buying a unit or any work on my unit) (after reading the horror stories on this site). I have bought items from them via the Internet and have had no issues with pricing or delivery. All delivered in a timely manner, good price and well packaged.

When I see something I want in the Camping World sale catalog I always check the price at Amazon and buy from whomever is cheaper. I recently got a 15% off coupon from CW and ordered a few things. Still waiting for my Maxxair vent fan that was ordered on January 28th. I did receive an email from them saying the order was delayed. Not worried yet. It will be a few months before I will be able to install it.

Living in a rural area, I have ordered many things online from CW. I like their vast selection and have never had any shipping issues.

Had 2 tracking numbers from UPS so 2 items were shipped separately from Kentucky.
The Wall-up came yesterday (undamaged) and the Wingman came today. Can not report on the Wingman as DW wrapped the box as a birthday present to (from?) me and won't let me open it.

CW delivers!

Just ordered seven items from Camping World two weeks ago ( to qualify for free shipping).

Entire order was delivered last week in two separate UPS shipments.

Doesn't get much better than that.
