I have had many knives. All shape's, size's & quality. The ESSE-4 is by far the best bush/camp knife I have owned! It holds a razor sharp edge for a very long time, even after some brutal abuse. I use it for everything from gutting trout to batoning kindling , to shaving magnesium & throwing sparks. I have definatly put this blade through the paces. Very durable, very sharp, very good quality!
I note their prices are dropping like all get out right now.
I like the leather you posted but the Kydex leaves much to be wanted.

I agree, I didn't care for the kydex either. It would be nice if you wanted to attach it to a pack or something with the MOLLE system. I paid $95 for mine & another $30 for the leather. Very reasonable for the excellent quality.
