I re-read this message just before hitting submit and it sounds an awful lot like a vendor advertisement or promotion. It is not. I'm just an RV guy who found a good product and want to share. I posted this identical message at RV.net too. I have no connection to vendor at all! So here's the message...
I was looking for a Torque Wrench better than the Harbor Freight $20 I have now. In particular, I wanted one that would beep when I hit the target torque amount. This would make checking RV wheel lugs and other stuff easier (I think ;-) ).
Finding one that did what I wanted was easy. Finding one that was affordable (less than $100)and of good quality was more difficult. After reading dozens of reviews and watching several youtubes, I ended up on the Brownline Metal Works 1/2" digital torque wrench. During my research I saw where the Corvette forums really liked this wrench. In fairness, there are 2 youtubes, one profession looking product review by the vendor Brown Line Metal and another one is a user that had issues (battery life and stored memory). He mentions that he is working with the vendor for resolution and will do a follow-up, however after a year, he still has not posted any follow-up. If you have questions, you can talk to Jimmy Wener at Brownline's Chicago headquarters 312-884-7644.
