My family got me this GPS for Father's Day. We were heading on a trip from WI to GA. Plenty of time to show me what this thing has got. I'll cut to the chase. Its got nothing!

From the basic stuff like inputting an address (it takes a CONSIDERABLE amount of time to type in a letter, wait like 20 to 30 seconds, and then type in the next letter), to accurate directions and routing (MANY times I had my Nokia maps on my phone going which always gives solid directions and this GPS had me going the opposite way), to picking a campground out of its database and it couldn't route me there even when I was outside the gate of the destination (I was at Stone Mountain park in GA which is by no means a small place!)

Don't waste your time, energy, nor your money on this boat anchor.

It was the thought that counts. Usually my wife doesn't pop for something that expensive so it was a surprise! Now I have to find a replacement... :-)

Had a number of free standing and in truck gps, now use iphone all the time, more accurate and up to date. Toyota wants an arm and leg to update built in unit. Those gps's are going the way if VHS tape players.

I concur on don't buy it. Ours tried to send us into Mexico while in Laredo headed north from home. DANG! I just remembered I was carrying on that trip and would have gone to Mexican prison.

Only reason I got it was the big screen. There are others now.
