Weber Q100 (Baby Q)

We've had our Q100 for, let's see, ten years now. It still comes along on every trip and it still performs flawlessly. Even the igniter still works! I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Weber Q100 (Baby Q)

I have two Q's a small one in my RV and a large one on my deck at home have had them both for 13 years. When I clean them up they still look and work like new. They both have gotten a lot of use.

My 7 year old Q100 goes on every trip. Has been used a lot. One night after a few adult beverages I forgot to turn it off. Next morning the lid had a lot of discoloring. Sanded it all down and sprayed it with 2,000 degree high heat paint and backed it in the oven per the instructions. Has held up great.

My igniter on the 2000 stopped working a long time ago. I have never been able to keep a grill’s igniter working.

The second purchase after a gas grill? Stick lighter!

Igniter issue

I just replaced the valve and regulator on my old Q100 today. Part of the process requires removal of the burner tube, so, cleaned out the bottom while it was out. I did discover that placing the burner tube to close to the ignitor will cause it to not work. I'd suggest loosening the tube and sliding it slightly away from the ignitor for a larger spark.

Of course there must be a spark first!!!! I could see mine by covering the small hole to block light and looking toward the ignitor while pressing the button. Sucker has worked since new in Oct. 2005. Replaced the valve assembly just to prevent trouble as I did not like fluid that came out of hose before purchasing a new 5 lb. tank. Low flame was concerning me.
