Mattress

Hi, I have a 6601 TC can anyone tell me how to take the mattress out?

I took mine out and it was pretty much a wrestling match. It will bend in the middle and then you have to work the angles to get it through the opening.

A much better solution is to get 2 ratchet straps, fold the mattress in half and strap it and tighten the ratchets. That compresses it and you can get it right out, no issue. Same with putting in a new one. Strap it.

Learned that the hard way years ago. I think they build TC's with the mattress's in them before they install the cabinets and stuff....

mattress squeeze

I am lucky. I married a very strong woman. She instructed me on the correct method of removing the mattress. Used two 8' pieces of rope with slip knots on one end. Doubled edges of mattress together and tied with ropes. Lugged mattress out and new one in. Wife said, "That was easy".
