Move tie down locations on Real-lite ss-1600

Looking to fit a SS-1600 on a GMC Sierra anyone have any experience moving the tie down locations in and fastening the camper inside the box similar to how you would on a 4 wheel camper?

If anyone has any links to forums that talk about this that would be awesome haven't had much luck finding any info on it.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. I have not done this or seen it done I do believe something to consider with relocating the tie downs is how the forces are going to transmit to the camper. With the tie downs on the outside vertical wall very little bending force is transmitted to the camper body. with that said as you move the tie downs in closer to the center the bending forces are now going to be amp filed and transferred to the center support section I think its something to consider. I agree with sea dog 100%. I have frame mount tie downs and they are inboard of the jacks and are about the same vertical height of the retracted jacks. If you are wanting to do this for clearance, I don't think you will gain anything.
