Looks like you were sold the standard load tire, STD, you should have had the E rated tire. I made the load ratings red. Copy and paste from Cooper Tire website.

I think you should go back to the place where you got these and at the minimum have a conversation. Any tire dealer worth a salt should not have ever sold you tires not fit for your vehicle.

P tires on an almost 7000 lb truck?..I'm surprised they put them on your truck...unless you asked for something with a softer ride...

It is good that we are having this conversation...

1) We found out, I think, that you have the wrong tires on your truck.

2) When you get the correct tires on your truck, you should have no problem with what you are hoping to do.

No, I didnít ask for them. They were recommended by the shop that put them on. An auto repair shop that does a little bit of everything. Lesson learned.

It happens a lot. We get vehicles in that have the wrong tires on them for repair/rotation and the customer gets all kind of upset when we explain we won't touch it as long as those tires are on it. Also have a lot of customers who bring their own in, wanting us to mount them...which we refuse.

It's the reason I have this sign on our counter, which I show them.Click image for larger version
