115v connection outside

Okay, i've had a few rvs,...but never seen this. I have a 2002 sandpiper 30bhss,..back where the 30amp shore cable is,....there is a 115v connection(male) beside it. Being male connections,....is that a place to run just a 115v cord for basics if need? Another question,... mine is cable ready,..why are there two cable connections outside?

If its a used trailer, a previous owner probably installed a dedicated 115V inlet port for things like a space heater. There is currently a thread going on about that here. There's probably a pigtail or outlet somewhere that is not active until an outdoor extension cord (you should use a heavy-duty 12-guage) is connected from the power post 115 outlet.

As far as the cable, one is for external park cable (which switches alternately with the rooftop antenna via the push button on the booster) and the other will be for satellite. The satellite is separate so you don't inject power to a cable system.

ahh,..okay. The 115 connection looks factory to me. It's in a recessed little round opening with a cover

Members here are doing pro-looking jobs adding these openings. See the link DaveSchwartz mentioned.

Yup, great design to get 45 amps instead of just 30.

In case you haven't figured it out yet- satellite connector on the right, and cable TV connector on the left. At least it's that way on ours.
