Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and insight, I has definately helped and I am sure will come in handy in the future for myself and others.

I dropped the unit off at the dealer this PM. When I investigated further and snugged the wire nuts on the terminals to be sure they were not loose all heel broke loose. The breaker sparked like fire works but would not disengage opening the circuit. I disconnected the wire at the terminal and the battery and left it.

I figure that if it keeps tripping there is something wrong somewhere even if it is just the breaker. I am not sure why they put these outside exposed to everything on the road and weather.

Let the dealer figure it out its under warranty.

While camping last month my 12 volt side started to dim and then when I checked the battery on the control board it was at 25%. Checked the fuzes in the rig and the battery. Battery was wet and water in the box. Checked in with the Cardinal forum for ideas, got them and none checked out and I conculded it was the converter. This on an 05 Cardinal 29WB. Remembered that a friend had had this problem so I went down the road to Wally world and bought a good 2/10/15 amp battery charger, hooked it to the battery, plugged it in and back in business with the 12 volt side back in operation. Got back home, took it to the local RV shop and it was the converter. Got a new one, made in the USA and am back in business on the 12 volt side. The charger will always go in the rig on future trips.

I got a call from the dealer service department today about the 12v problem. Turns out the inverter has a bad internal ground. They ordered a replacement from FR warranty department and were told it will arrive next week. Since we have a trip planned for this weekend that does not work for us.

I called Megan at the factory explained the situation and our disapointment that this is the third issue we have had with various systems. Magan was concerned and offered to followup and help in what ever way she could. It turns out that FR will send a replacement inverter to arive by Thursday at the dealer. The dealer hopefully follows through and completes the work Thursday as well. The fuel pump is expected at the dealer today and should be completed this week as well.

We are hopeful that this is the last of the inconveniences for some time. We shall see.

The 12v power issue ended up being a bad inverter apparently caused by pinched and worn wires under the frame causing a dead short. The inverter was replaced and the wires fixed seems fine now. We went away for the 4th and ended finding two other issues.

1-one of the tires had chuncks of rubber missing from one row of tread like popcorn chuncks.

2-Bubbles in the skin of the rear ramp.

FR is aware of these issues and the camper is back at camping world. I am sure they will do what is necessary: one new tire and a new ramp door.
