2007 Cherokee 27L plumbing fittings

What brand of plumbing fittings are used on this trailer ? One end seems to be barbbed which is clamped and a female or male on the other end, depending on the use. What I want to do is run a by-pass around the water filter for winterizing purposes and would like to get a couple of 3-way valves from the same supplier to keep things looking OEM .Our water heater already has a by-pass installed. Thanks Joe Toronto On,Ca.

I wouldn't worry about keeping things "OEM" as most of it is the cheapest stuff they could find anyway.......

Goto your nearest home or plumbing supply and use what's readily available to you.

I recently replaced a low drain valve with one from the depot and it cost me a whole $4 after tax. It was a compression style as opposed to the barb/clamp style which was a bit more expensive. Of course that valve is outside the trailer. Were I to replace or modify plumbing inside I would use the barb/clamp as it is supposed to be better in the long run.

Elkhart Supply Company

Most ALL Forest River products utilize this company for plumbing.

Joe,

I bypassed the water filter in my 04/27L by just disconnecting the lines from the filter and screwing them together. They must have changed this setup in the newer model years. I did not connect it back up.
