I have an odd ocurrence I noticed a few months ago. Sitting in the front where the two swivel rockers are in front of the bump out bay windows, I happened to look up behind that valance .

There is a flat piece of what looks like white painted sheet metal as the ceiling for the small angle . There were holes starting to develop. I noticed bubbles in the paint and when I scratched them away , there was a hole . This was in maybe 2-3 spots.

No water at all. Also I figured it was aluminum so even water would not eat a hole. No rust , almost looks like a fiber product but hard to tell. Any ideas ?? Never had a water leak, no sign of wetness very puzzling.
