Question 2012 Salem Villa Estate Ceiling Fan placement

Hello All,

I have a question/observation...my wife and I have just purchased a 2012 Salem Villa Estate 392qbec. Beautiful trailer, but I have an issue with the placement of the ceiling fan in the main room. One side of the fan blades are directly under the AC unit. The fan is reversible, and my wife was running the fan and the AC this weekend and it really was not cooling the room off. I am assuming that due to the fan blowing down instead of up the ac unit was fighting with the fan to suck up the air in the unit and was not cooling the room. When I shut the fan down the room started to cool off. This seems to me to be a design flaw...has anyone run into a similar situation?

Did you try reversing the direction the fan was turning?

yes and that would force more air into the AC unit...it does work, but just wondering if anyone else had this saem issue/saw this design flaw, I personally don't believe that the fan should be in that location, let the AC UNIT alone and move the fan elsewhere in the main room.
