26DBH bumper rack weight limit
I couldn't find the weight rating, either in the included documentation, on the Forest River site, or here, for the included fold-down bumper rack on our new 26dbh.
Anybody happen to know?

26DBH bumper rack weight limit
My fold down rack is rated at 450lbs
My Sabre was the same.

If I recall correctly, there should be a sticker on or near the rack...I believe its rated at 150 or 175lbs.

Hmmm, didn't find sticker, but I'll look again. And now that you mention it, I recall seeing a page of unstuck stickers in the drawer with all the manuals and stuff. I'll check that, too.

trying to recall, but I believe it's on the top of the bumper.....

Unofficially you can increase your capacity by moving the clamp bracket as close to the rear of the trailer as possible . Mine went six inches closer to the pivot point . Remember the closer it is the less bounce it will have and will have less apparent weight .
I do not know why they put them so far out there . My rack on my 26 bdh is pretty well reinforced and the frame is doubled up , carries my Honda 3,000.

I have one (now for sale, upgrading) but all I've ever put on there are propane cookers, propane bottles and such. They are fairly large cookers.......but not excessively heavy. I'm not sure I'd put something extremely heavy or expensive back there, but they are sturdy and well made and should hold most things using the common sense approach.

On a similar note, I'm thinking I could carry my two 2x10 leveling boards strapped to the the rack, even with the rack in the up position, but I'm a little scared to...
However, I do believe the forward-backward forces with the rack up would be less stress than the bounce with the rack down.
I think I'll try it and just be vigilant for stress cracks.

I WOULD NOT. I'm honestly looking for someplace else to go with my spare tire because with the rack up, there is play in it and it shifts back and forth when you stop and go. I think when I said 150lbs, I was accounting for the weight of my spare tire, so 200 makes more sense now.

I'm currently working with my dealer on a solution for that. If I can find someplace to go with the spare without breaking my pocket book, I think I'm going to leave it down when traveling all the time and eliminate the movement. I just don't like leaving it down all the time with the tire on it because the cover collects water.

I have a 264L but the rack should be the same. If this is the rack you have, it has a 300lb rating.

I just trudged through the snow to check mine, my 26DBH's rack says "Weight limit 200lbs including spare"

Lci makes a tire winch that allows you to winch the tire up under the frame.
You could also buy an automotive one and mount it as well.

I had actually asked forest river the same question. There customer service said the weight limit is 200 pounds.

I probably won't end up doing this. Depends on how my Andersen Levelers work out. I'll be testing them this Tuesday! Woot Woot! First trip with the new trailer.
I strapped my aluminum step ladder to the rack, instead.
And, if anyone is interested, the Andersen Jack will NOT work with this trailer.
I had to adjust the brakes (too tight from stealership), and found that I needed about 4" more then what the jack would provide.
I guess the up side of having the camper in a low-rent storage field is that I could dig a hole under the tire to get the clearance I needed.
