5 days old and a leak

We just picked up our new 2014 PT Lacrosse 329BHT, it has sat in front of the house this week while we load our supplies to take it out this weekend. We had a pretty good rain and thunder storm Tuesday night/Wed morning. I checked on it when I got home last night and the carpet is damp in the front of the big living room slide, there are also one spot of water on the floor in front of the slide (when extended) and a few spots of water in the bathroom area. I called the dealer and they advised to bring it in, since they are 3 hours away they said for me to take ti to the nearest dealer and they would work on it. the next closest is 1.5 hours away, I did not buy it there because they did not have one and said they could not get me one before we leave on vaca the 20th so I went elsewhere. I called the next closest dealer and they pretty much refuse to work on it. So I am going to try to get the hose out and replicate the leak and try to decide where it is coming from and if it is something I can easily fix before I spend $200 in fuel taking it back to the purchasing dealer. BTW the dealer who refuses to do the work is Quality RV in Mclean IL. They suck IMO and I will never spend a dime now or in the future with them after the way they treated me today. I realixe I did not buy it there but they did not have what I wanted nor could they get it in a reasonable amount of time. Plus they were 5k higher. Any suggestions you knowledgeable people have for me in my investigation would be greatly appreciated.

Did you have your slides out during the rain? Do you have your camper slightly tilted toward the slide side? This will allow water to flow away from the camper side as the 'seal's are not 100% seal worthy. Also if the weather storm was the same that passed through where I live, some of the wind was very very heavy and will blow (drive) water into and around the seals of the slide. Dry it out and get out the hose and test for leaks.... but in some storms the water will come in somewhere. You may not be able to do anything about it, but be aware on the tilt of the unit when it rains.

I am in Hoopeston IL, 30 Minutes north of Danville IL. Regarding the tilt, the big slide were in, the camper is tilted slightly away from the slides due to the driveway not being 100% level, not major but the tilt is away from the big slide. We got the storm most everyone did in the central part of the state. I agree there is no way to stop the wind from driving the rain past the seals. I also know the tilt could have been a factor. I am goign to try the hose test tonight and see what I can come up with. It is not a lot of water, enough to irritate me with it being new and all.

I would try a big Fan/shop vac to Presserize the Inside while applying (Soapy Water) around the (Slides, vents windows, ect.)where you think water comes in. Have your unit setup at the same situation when it leaked before. It should not matter but do you have slide toppers? It is way easier to see Bubbles than it is to Chase a Water intrusion! Youroo!!

I was in Pensacola, FL a couple months ago when it rained very hard. Everyone of us who had the slides open when the storm went through got some water. As soon as we brought the slides in, no much water. My 2 cents.
