a/c and heater turn on when heater is turned on

I just purchased a used 2017 hyperlite xlr 29hfs. When I turn the heater on the roof a/c unit turns on as well. is this normal?

Turn the thermostat fan setting to auto and not hi or low.

X2. Just keep in mind that when running the furnace in cooler, damp weather it may be necessary to turn the fan back on to keep the condensation off the windows.

It's probably your heat pump working as it should.

I turn my heat all the way down to the 40's when I run the AC. And then reverse when running the heat.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger slash. Was my first search after getting my new Crusader. It's FR's attempt at having a ceiling fan without actually installing one. Once you realize it will do that you can use it as an air circulator. Actually it's not FR's idea, I think it's Dometic's.
