A/c issue

I have a 2018 tracer air 235 and my dometic lcd display thermostat seems to be acting up. I have had it in for service at camping world and they fixed nothing. It will be set on a temperature but it's clearly way hotter that the set temp. You'll have to turn the system off then back on toget the compressor to run. Auto fan setting seems to be the worse. Will run for a while and then never come back on to maintain temp. I need some help. Ive even thought about changing the thermostat to a household kind like most people do but there are only 3 wires in the tstat and i can't figure out the wiring.

You have a common problem.
Have you tried initializing the thermostat? That works once in a while.

If that doesn't work your problem is likely the thermostat or control board.

Unfortunately you can't just change the thermostat to a residential unit. You have one with digital communications. In order to change it you have to replace the control box in the A/C and pull new wires from the A/C to the thermostat location. In some RV's that's a major task.

Thank you for the reply. I have contacted dometic and they are sending me a new tstat. So i will try that first then the control board. Im not sure how to intitialize the tstat but I'll see what i can find out.

Glad they're sending you one. Hopefully that'll fix it and you'll be good to go.
