All very funny stuff.

In South Louisiana, this is a very rare occurrence for us. 5 or 6 nights in a row with sub 30 degree weather is really unusual. The wife and I drained all the lines and I bought a piece for the city water connection to connect my air compressor. We probably blew 2+ gallons of water out of the lines. I am so glad that water isn't sitting in those lines anymore...

This is the 1st year I've done anything and just put 35# of air through the lines. Then 2 days ago added pink to the drains. Now wondering if that will be enough. This is really rare here, usually not a concern until after we leave for FL. Tomorrow is our scheduled departure day~~ looks NOT to happen at this point.

He lives in the Tropics of Texas, we haven't seen a hard freeze in at least that long! Hope he doesn't learn a hard lesson.

DavidBo apparently the Tropics of Texas aren't in Kansas anymore, as all of a sudden most of the forum posts are about cold weather things.

Correction: We are in Kansas! It started early December, with the first measurable snowfall in over a decade, and now we're getting lows in the 20's. Many of the older homes in the area used pier and beam construction rather than concrete foundations, all that exposed plumbing can't handle these temps and burst pipes will be inevitable.
As usual it will be short-lived; back to the upper 60's by the weekend. I loved the cold as a kid living in Illinois, now as an old(er) f*rt...not so much.

I hear ya ~ that's why we left Vermont & being older pharts!! Just can't figure out why it's 29*F here in Argyle right now. I shall not complain though since there isn't any of that white stuff!!

DH and I were both sick when we winterized the WJ. Sure hope we didn't miss anything. -11 here yesterday and not getting any better for a week. As a little added security, I paid another payment on the extended warranty!

The global warming is in Alaska. They were 20 to 40 degrees above average. 😎
