AC on the road

Here is another Newby question that has probably been posed many times. When on a long (say 5 hour) drive during the hot summer months, is it usual to run the generator and coach AC. Clearly the Ford engine AC cannot cope with the coach volume.

Some times when it really hot and humid, I will start the genny and turn on the AC at our last stop before the Camp Ground. I 'll leave it on unroll I'm ready to connect shore power. Cools down nice then.

We run ours when its hot while driving (i.e. most of the time during summer) so everyone is more comfortable. We don't boondock much so its the only time the generator gets any use from us.

Same here as Sleepybadger and the others. Doesn’t hurt a thing and it’s actually good for the generator in my opinion.
