AC problems

Can anybody help me with this AC problem ? I turn the AC on and in seconds it cuts off the fan works fine .

probably too much voltage drop...need an rv cord no more than 75 feet possibly?

Try changing your temp setting. Set it to a much lower temp and see if that makes a difference. Also ensure your A/C power is in the correct voltage range.

We tried lowering the temp and our elec cord is 30ft.

and the gauge of the cord? what size wire?

you need 10 ga....make sure you have the 110 breaker to the water heater off if you have one..

The cord that came with camper and didn't say which AC it was it the bedroom AC

you got 50 amp service? ok..so no extension cord. are you trying to run 2 acs at once? your good for maybe one ac, no water heater, on household receptacle.

Yes we have 50 amp and yes there is two AC units but it has run both units for two years on the same 50 amp service inside the garage . So would it make a difference ? Do you think there could be the AC unit ?

has the ac been sitting for awhile? sounds like a locked rotor in the compressor. possible problems: rotor seized in compressor, bad connection between source and compressor, compressor just breaking down, start cap or ptcr.
