ADCO RV covers

Hi all,

Are RV covers really needed? I bought a ADCO Travel trailer cover in May of this year and know it has ripped down the sean and sides and is lying around my TT.
What other methods/recommendations is there?

How many covers do you see on campers at RV dealers?
Nuff Said.

IMO they cause more damage than good due to wear on the roof material.

I only cover the air conditioner to keep bugs out of it and the wheels for UV protection.

I had a expedition cover that was in the same shape after one winter. I did my best to cover all pointy areas that I thought would wear and tear the cover but still ended up with 20 tears. I contacted the manufacturer and they are sending out a replacement cover under warranty.

If yours has one I would try contacting them about it as im sure its under warranty. You will need to take pictures of the tears but if the company is good they will cover it under warranty.

Adco is a good brand cover. Just a suggestion.

i covered mine for 2 years. cover tended to move and i was concerned abt wear on the paint on the corners. wind would move it around. had some tares the first year and lots the second.
the side of my that faces the southern sky, is faded. the beige decorative tape on that side is considerably more faded than the other.

the cover is a real pain. i did mine more for uv but it turned out to be more of a headache. i haven't covered it in the past 5 years.

from a safety standpoint, if a little wind comes up while ur on top spreading it, they make a good sail.
