I have a 2015 cruise lite 28' bunk house. We had to replace the AC 3 months after purchase, due to it freezing up and leaking inside the camper. Once replaced the new unit is much quieter. We haven't really used to much this year due to some family issues, but used it 2 weeks ago at the house plugged in to a 120v outlet, nothing else runs on that outlet. 4 hours after running it again started to leak in the trailer, no cold air. Thought maybe from door opening and closing a lot here in Florida lots of humidity made it leak. Well just used it this past weekend and this time all door closed but a couple of times and at 5 AM the AC was froze up again and dropping ice into the fan. Frustrated.. What are the warranties on the AC. We had it replaced at Camping World in New Port Richey Fl. Where we bought the unit. Any ideas????.

It sounds like the freeze coil isn't clipped to the evaporator. I had that problem in an older unit and found that the freeze control was just laying loose in the unit. Once I clipped it to the tubing loop on the evaporator it quit freezing up.

I also found leaks between the discharge and return and sealed those with foam backed aluminum tape.

I found that on ducted units if it is very humid and you run the AC on low fan, it will occasionally freeze up and shut down to thaw. My solution was to open the quick chill vent (on inside portion of AC unit itself) slightly which allows more air flow over the coils thereby preventing freeze up.

Are you running it on a 120V outlet with an adapter and on a 15A breaker at the house ?? Possible you are running it at low voltage, not a good thing.

Never thought to see what size breaker I have it plugged into.....let's say it is 15 amp what damage could happen??

Usually it is not recommended to use adapters and plug into a house outlet for the AC. If you have a dedicated 30A 120V RV outlet installed you would be fine. Someone hopefully will come along & explain it better than me but if you have low voltage running to the AC you can damage the AC compressor. The other issue is possibly over heating the wiring.

One other thing to keep in mind is many RV appliances require more amps to start the appliance than they do to run the appliance. A roof air conditioner can draw 16 amps to start, but may only use 13 amps once it is running.

Do you have any a/c vents closed ?
2 things are common if your a/c freezes up.
1) frost sensor off or faulty.
2) vents are closed and air flow is low.

Open quick cool dump slightly for more air flow help.
