Air conditioning service

Towards the end of last season, both the Ford dash air and the living roon roof air started giving us problems. The dash air would work finew foa about 45 minutes and then quit, reverting to heat.

The roof air was very ineffective, putting out lukewarm air, unlike the bedroom unit which would give a Polar bear a pause.

My question is, who is best to service these systems? Should I go to a Ford dealer to get the dash air system fixed and then to an RV preair facility to get the roof a/c fixed, or should I have the RV repair shop do them both?

I don't heave ready access to a Ford truck service center, so maybe a regular car dealer wouldn't know the F53.

I guess the third option is an automotive air conditioning shop.

Any ideas?

Automotive A/C is gonna be the same whether a car or truck or in your case a cab and chassis - if you have a set of Gauges you can hook up and check the system - since it is a 2002 I bet it is R134 which can be bought at Autozone or Advanced Discount Auto - the gauges are easy to hook up and are almost dummy proof since one port is larger or smaller then the other.

The A/C in the RV - we use the same A/C unit in Booth's
I would make sure the outside coil's are clean and free of dirt and debree - maybe it just needs a charge - might want to consult an A/C guy to see who repairs them in your area cause am not sure if itis R134 or something else
