Air Mattress NOT Leaking

On its third night of use our guest had to inflate the air mattress during the night. I had been so careful with it, using duct tape on the platform anywhere I thought it might find a nail/staple.

I took it home to find the leak and what I found was that the cap on the manual inflation hole (opposite end from electric blower) was not screwed on tight. After fixing that, no leak!

If you think you have a leak, you might want to check that first.

There is a VALVE under that cap. Our guest sat on that valve while getting ready for bed and "popped" it. Even though the black cap was on tight; without a good seal on the valve the air leaked out during the night.

I discovered the valve was open while checking for the leak.

Air Mattress

A lot of us have found that if you take the cap off and put A few folds of seran wrap or something like that it will stop any leak at that cap. Just put it there and forget it!
