Worth the money
I ordered mine a few days ago and can't wait to try them out! After reading many posts here about others' experience I decided to bite the bullet and buy some. Although they are pricey at $45 each I felt after years of using the wood block system it was something I was willing to pay for. I ordered two of them for my tandem Shamrock. And After all, Fathers Day is right around the corner Now my next project is to build a set of x chocks to compliment my new Andersen levelers!

Thanks OC. I think I'm going to have to shave down a bit more than you to get them to fit in between. Hopefully I can get this dialed in though. The ease of use is worth the extra bit of initial work!

Question about Anderson levelers
Anyone used these on a 27RLWS, and if so how much did you have to trim off.

They will not work with mine. I would have to take at least 1 1/2 inches...My axles are too close...
So now I have nice new set sitting in the garage...

Timex I will let you and others know how it goes! They are supposed to arrive in the mail today so I can't wait to check them out. I do think I am going to have to shave some off the tips but no big deal.

Try cutting some off the corner on 45° and some off the front tapered end.

I cut about 1 1/2 inches off of mine and re-rounded leading edge. I have not cut the back corner like OC but will do that next for a little extra clearance. I used a saw to cut 1 1/2 inches off and an orbital sander to round the edges. I then used a propane torch to melt the surface a little to get back the shine in the finish.
My leading edge is now about 1 inch (rather than 1/2 inch). I was using lynx levelers prior with success which are 1 1/2 inch. The way I look at it is, I am a 1/2 lower to start with these and are not restricted to 1 1/2 inch increments.

I have very close tandem axles as well and would likely have this same issue. I'm also just finishing up my 3D printer. I wonder If I could print one out that would be a bit smaller and still have sufficient strength to work like this? I'm guessing it would not be difficult but I'd probably limit it to 3" at the wide end instead of 4" in order to make sure it fit between the wheels and on the print bed of my printer (only an 8"x8" square so I'd align it across the diagonal so it would be closer to 10"). Probably only a couple bucks in plastic if I can get it design right (but hours on the printer :-)).

I used my band saw to trim a "smig" more than 3" off one of them. I also trimmed a bit more wedge shape on the end I trimmed off. Your mileage may vary.

Trimming
Thanks Nowait. Irecieved mine over the weekend and went out last night to see how they would fit. I'm definatly going to have to shave one down. Probably the same as you, 3". I was hoping they would fit better.

I ordered two sets last week because of this thread. I went to the camper yesterday to see how the clearance was with the leveler between the tires. I couldn’t get it to set between the tires. It looks like I need to cut about ˝ inch off for starters. Tried to shave some off with an old rat tail file and it seemed to work ok. This way I can monitor the shaving so I don’t cut too much off. Intend to finish the shave job later today. I may also shave the bottom end like OC did as that will help if looking at the picture.

I trimmed one of mine yesterday with a band saw. It went better than I expected, I had to take about 3" off. Going to try them out for the first time this weekend!
