Antenna
Ok the last 2 camping trips we have been on , we are unable to get tv reception. The last place had cable and we were able to get that working but very limited on channels.
Our antenna is NOT the one you raise from inside, it is round flying saucer looking thing.
Not sure what is going on with it, really not that experienced with the tv, however our last trip and right now we are dealing with terrible weather.
Asked the camping neighbors ,all have tv with no reception problems
I have pushed on and off cable button on input ,tried to reset both ways. Retightened all the cables to tv and inputs
Any body have any other ideas??

If everybody has the same problem perhaps there's no TV reception in that area?

Might have to check connections at antenna and internal also. Check for connections/splitters in cubbies and behind the cable wall outlets. You can also connect a cable directly to the antenna and run it in a window to your TV to ensure its actually working although it might be a weak signal without the power boost (switch with green light). Also make sure your TV is set to antenna and not cable. Good luck!!

You misread. OP said, "Asked the camping neighbors ,all have tv with no reception problems ".

What kind of antennas did the people you ask use?
Side by side, my batwing style beats my buddies omni directional in reception.
Like said, make sure your coax connections are tight and correct, and the booster wall plate button is pressed with the green light on. Set tv for air, auto scan and hope for the best.
Also, make sure the booster is off when using park cable.

Agreed! Our batwing was a great replacement for the OEM antenna and works better than most.

If you have this one it is essentially junk. Te only thing it has in common with an RV antenna is it looks like one. You can replace it with a King Jack.

The new antennas FR is using are basically worthless. Only good thing is you don't have to worry about forgetting to crank it down. We have been to campgrounds where we got excellent reception with our last trailer that had the bat wing and can't receive anything with the new. The new digital signal is not as forgiving as the old analog signal. You almost have to be in direct line of sight to broadcast antenna to get good reception from the new round antenna. I have given up on that roof antenna. We either rely on park cable or bring our portable satellite setup.

I have a 2015 335. The omni antenna is really a bad deal. ever FR has dropped them in favor of the Jack antenna and you can retrofit an omni with the Jack as long as you have access below for the knob.

Same here, no reception with the new type antenna, instructions say once antenna head is installed on the pipe it cannot be removed. Has to be destroyed to take it off for access to roof antenna wire. Can anyone who has changed it out comfitm this
