Antenna sign

Quick questions.
On my 2009 Forest River Cherokee 39DB I have this antena for the television.
Other than the fact that the one time I used the mechanism to move the antena the handle broke, there is a sign that says that I should lubricate "it" twice a year.
The question are,
1) What should I lubricate? The mechanism? The Antena?
2) How? There are no instructions?
3) What does one lubricate things with that do not have an epidermus?

Here's a link to a PDF from Winegard. Lubrication is covered on page 4.

Hope this helps. Charlie
