Anything wrong with this picture?
At a CG near Ft. Myers, Fl this weekend and this is the AC pedestal. I'm connected to the 30amp side w/surge protector.

Yes, 50AMP is not 220V.

DOH - hopefully it was just mis-labeled or whom ever unsuspecting plugs in will be in for a hot mess
if you have a checker for 50 amp I would to see if not advise the campground to keep another RV'er safe

I always thought the 50 amp circuit was just a 110 leg with a 50 amp breaker
it uses two 110 legs which essentially is 220 but it just seperates them in the camper - am I reading this correct?

correct. just like the L1430 plug on a generator. most midsize generators put out 30amp-220vt, but you can get a cord to plug into the 30 amp socket which splits into 4-110vt receptacles. a higher end RV which has a 50amp input will split the current into 110vt circuits internally,
an RV which has a 30amp feed has a cord that WILL NOT FIT in a 50 amp receptacle,so you cannot plug into it by mistake.

It should be labeled 120/240V 50A. What they have there isn't necessarily wrong, it's just old school. Your right in that it is 2 120V phases with a separate grounded(neutral) and a grounding conductor. The 120V phases are not the same though and going between the 2 of them gives the 240V potential with 120V to ground.

Here is another great write up about 120/240 and how adaptors are wired.

You are correct, we (I) have been drilled to think of my 30amp TT, even 50amp rigs, as 120v only and not for a second to think of think of it as 240v. So when I saw the 220v label it freaked me out a little.
All is well, I talked to the park attendant and it had already been brought to his attention. He's unsure what he's going to do.

Can't blame you! Friday rained all day but yesterday and today is just beautiful! The park's name is W.P. Franklin North, part of Lake Okeechobee waterway system, and it is managed by the Army Corps. Facility Details - Recreation.gov, W.P. Franklin N (FL) - Recreation.gov

Hmm...so if you use an adapter that allows you to plug your 30AMP TT plug into a 50A outlet post is one leg on the adapter dead so you don't get both 110V lines going into the TT?

You are correct. If you use a 30 amp to 50 amp adapter, you're inly using one leg of the 50 amp receptacle. The other leg isn't hooked up.
