Great timing for this subject! I've got 2 satellite connections to install before our beach vacation in 2 weeks.
I understand to use butyl when sealing around the rubber roof, but what is the advantage of butyl over silicone for this project? Since we're installing the connectors on the side of our aluminum sv264, it would seem silicone would work just fine. If butyl is used, why use tape rather than the tube sealant like TemPro JS 773?
