My 2010 390BH is doing the same flashing thing with the Aux Start switch. I was doing some serching and found these posts but see there has never been an answer to why it flashes. Mine seems fine too, odd that it flashes though.

The dealer says that is what it is suppose to do but cant tell me why - I dont trust dealer explanations of stuff like this. Is there a FR number that I can call?

I sent an email today to the warranty manager at Forest River today. Hopefully he will reply fairly quickly and I will post his response when I receive it from him.

Received an email this morning from Forest River about the Aux Start switch light flashing:

'The auxillary start light will be on nearly all the time. IT is on when there is juice being transferred between the sets of batteries. The only time it will be completely off is when both sets of batteries are fully charged and no transfer of power is happening, which is rarely the case. The light should be on anytime the engine is running, the generator is running or the coach is plugged in.'

Hope this clears things up.

So it shouldnt be flashing? Mine has a every 1-2 second flash when not plugged in. I have never seen it lit up solid when the unit is plugged in or the generator is running.

Mine will occasionally do the 1-2 second flash even when plugged in and there are times it will not flash at all. I have seen it with a low, steady glow when there is some heavy usage and plugged in. Not sure what the conditions are for it to come on, but it hasn't been a problem so far.

Ditto on our coach - the light seems to flash randomly when on shore power.. Not sure why - but assume it has something to do with the coach batteries charging when on shore power. Perhaps when the inverter switches between float/bulk/absorb??

Now that you guys mention it - I am not sure if it is off and then flashing or on low? Will have to check next time out.
