Awning arm part numbers

I have a 2015 flagstaff 831bhds and I had a mishap with the rear awning arm as the lower half got pulled of in a minor accident. I did not see any part numbers on the awning or in the manual that came with trailer. (Note trailer came from factory with wrong arms and the correct where installed over the winter but was not given any documentation from my dealer with part numbers). I believe the power awning to be a dometic 9100. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried dometic and the only option I can to when I call is there dealer locator. Below is the front of the manual that came with the trailer. Click image for larger version

Awning part Numbers

I too damaged my awning arm (power awning). I found I could not buy just the part but had to purchase the front and rear complete arms.

I found a slightly damaged complete kit ( one arm was scratched) on the internet. I repaired the scratch with white appliance paint. Do a search for salvage arms for your model number awning. The complete kit new was near $400.00 before shipping. But I found the complete kit for about $100.00 before shipping. Try

Double D Salvage

Last august I was in his place, he had several on hand.

Good luck

Do you happen to have the same trailer and if so are able to share the part number of the arms with me as that is what I need? Thank you

Check the Dometic site. We had a similar mishap; rear arm damaged. I got the part number from their site. I recall that the front and rear arms are the same. We sourced a front arm (came with wiring) and it bolted on the rear no problem. The awning is spring loaded and you need to insert a pin to lock the spring when you separate the tube assembly from the arm.

Mduff: I have been all over the dometic site and unable to find any part numbers. Any chance you can give me some direction as to where exactly you went on the website?

Thank you

There are only 2 basic part numbers for the 9100 arms. The standard and shorther "basement" hardware for MH's and some 5'ers where you have storage at the bottom.

Your arm kit most likely is 8952002.400U if yours are black, white would be 8952002.400B Those are for the full height standard kit.

Dometic is very good at responding to emails and answering questions and they will sell parts direct.

Thanks for the info! Do you happen to know the difference in length of the two (standard and basement)? My overall length is 667/8. The part that came on my information sheet from dealer had the following part number which I believe to be incorrect: 8952003.400b1.

Not off the top of my head, but its substantial. On a TT I do not see how you would have the basement hardware. Call or email Dometic.

Standard = 66 7/8"
Basement = 62 3/4"

Those Dometic part numbers can get confusing and they change them often. I just called my friend and had him cross referenced your number, 8952003.400b1 and that comes back as standard hardware.

I damaged my awning arm and found out that some RV repair shops that replace entire awnings because the fabric is bad save the arms and can make you a good deal.

I needed a cover for my 9100 series..look on the inside of the forward arm. My sticker was on the inside of the lower arm, standing in front of the arm looking rearward the info you need is on that sticker. Then, use all that info on the web site find your parts..there are drawings in the detail for each major component that you can "pop open" by clicking on the assembly number on the left of the list...their customer service reps I've dealt with are pretty good at helping you make sure you get the correct stuff. I talked to them while looking at the screen so I made sure they knew what I was looking for...
