Bathroom Ceiling Repair

I have a 2001 Rockwood Roo M23 Hybrid. Long story short - the previous owner replaced the bathroom exhaust fan shroud on the roof and only put a small bead of caulk around it - no butyl tape under the flange and no self-leveling caulk to thoroughly cover the joint. Due to expansion/contraction of the roof and agitation during travel, the flange was basically sitting loose on the roof, creating a one foot hole leaking into my bathroom. Needless to say, the luan, etc. in the ceiling was soaked and warped and the wallpaper is separating from the luan.

I plan on removing and replacing the ceiling material once everything dries out. The odd thing is there seems to be no aluminum cross braces providing structural support to hold up the bathroom ceiling (and to attach the new ceiling material to. The bathroom ceiling seems to only be supported by the walls of the bathroom. Is there anyone else who has done a similar repair who can confirm this? With big cuts in the roof for the shower skylight and exhaust fan, the roof is pretty flimsy and you can move it up and down with your hand. It's odd that there wouldn't be some aluminum in the ceiling to provide support, like there is in other portions of the roof by the A/C unit, etc.
