When you store your trailer for the winter do you leave the batteries hooked up and keep them charged through your land line? Or do you take them out and keep them charged with a battery charger?
Take them out and put them inside on a trickle charger if you do not keep your TT plugged in.

I've done both. I usually end up putting the battery back in if weather forecasts an ice storm and there is a possibility of losing power. We had to live in the trailer several days one winter due to this so it was good to have it available.
As long as your trailer's converter is a good one.
Some don't have a very good 'float charge' at the end, and the batteries could boil themselves dry. (ie...wrecked)
Whichever you choose, check them periodically for proper fluid levels.
Mine come home, put in a warm enviornment and put on a charger on them regularly.

Thanks for the feedback. I park my TT at home but only plug it in every week or two. I took the battery out this morning and put it on my charger in the garage.
We've had to deal with a couple of ice storms here and maybe one this Sunday night. If I need the TT, the battery will be ready.

Very sage advise. I check mine regularly and top off with distilled water as needed.

Be sure to allow for adequate ventilation of hydrogen gas. Probably not a problem, but having them right next to the water heater may not be the best idea...
