Bed End Replacement

When replacing the bed ends I need to re install the locks and mountings from the old bed end. Am I screwing into just the partical board or are there metal grounds inside the new door? I don't want to start before I am sure of the proceedure. Thanks for any help.

Reddog, if you're talking about a hybrid, you might want to post in the Hybrid section.
if you're talking about a popup, same thing goes but in the Popup section.

since replacing a bunk end is specific to each type and not a general repair issue to all RVs.

and year and brand and model of RV always helps.
