Bedroom drawer latch busted

This morning I noticed that on of the bedroom drawers wasn't closing. My wife reminded me that we had this problem last year, that the female side of the latch was stuck in a closed position so the male side couldn't go in. Last year we used a knife to pry the latch open so we could engage it again.

I tried prying this morning but it I only succeeded in bunging up the plastic. Methinks the latch needs replacing.

What is this kind of latch called? Anyone have experience replacing these? Click image for larger version

Most likely it is not broken. Take a close look at another latch in your RV that is working. What you need to do is take a scew driver and reset the catch to the configuration you observe with a working latch.

I tried "resetting" it, that's why I was prying it. But it wouldn't budge. We found the exact mechanism at CW for fairly cheap. Was fairly easy to replace.

I have had 3 latches "stick", 1 was fixed by a RV tech, and have 2 more need to be fixed. Had the face of a drawer come off from it banging open and shut. Very poorly made in my opinion
