Better than Guess I'll ask....

Living in Texas, winterizing is usually no more than opening all the faucets, draining the tanks and open the low water points.

However, my Wildcat is getting ready to go up to the factory for some structural work and it get a whole bunch colder up there than down here.

I plan to do the winterization via the compressed air method to clear the lines then add some anti freeze to the P-traps and toilets bowls.

I will then leave all the faucets open to release any pressure build up in the water lines.

My Question is while in the basement to close the water lines to the water heater and turn on the water heater bypass I have this extra water line that is plugged on one end and from there goes under the floor I in the basement.

I am including a couple of photos that I hope will better explain the "RED" capped line that I am talking about.

What is this line for, I have no idea. I could guess, but then I could guess wrong which is my normal way of guessing.

So your assistance is greatly appreciated,

I'll have to come back and post the photos on edit, having photo problems.

No, no washer/dryer option available on this model.

But thank you for the suggestion.

Low point drain would be my other guess.

Low water drain point for both hot and cold are located near the grey and black drain connection on the trailer.

I'm sure this water line serves a purpose, but danged if I can figure it out. The fact that it is red leads me to believe it has to do with hot water. Yet it does not directly attach to the water heater that can be seen.

Do you have an outside sink or shower that is supposed to have hot water but doesnt?
It looks like a line that was never hooked up.

Take the cap off and see what happens.

I have something similar to this. Mine is for winterizing, once I've by passed everything I unscrew the cap on the end of the hose stick it in a gallon of antifreeze and turn on the pump until the pump shuts off the open a faucet until you start blowing out pink. then repeat for each water source including the shower and toilet. make sure you by pass the water heater. I go through between 1/12 -2 gallons of antifreeze in my 38ft 5th wheel toy hauler. This is after blowing out the lines with air.

Looks like pickup line for antifreeze, uncap place end into antifreeze and turn on pump and open facet until antifreeze comes out.

That appears to be a PEX line. I think too stiff for antifreeze pick-up. Could this basic chassis be used also for a model that does offer an outdoor shower? Or a washer dryer? or an outdoor kitchen?

Then it might be hot water line to outside unit. Take cap off and see if water comes out, if not put some air thru it and nose around and see if you can hear it coming out somewhere.

My guess is that your unit is prepped for an option that you don't have....
Also, if you are using antifreeze to winterize you don't need to use compressed air to evacuate the system, it's really not necessary. Simply drain the hot water tank, bypass it, then run each tap closest to furthest including any outside taps, showers, low point drains, etc until pink flows. Then dump a little into each drain to ensure there is enough in the p-traps.
