When I got my trailer, I used the GEO method using Sodium DiChlor, Calgon powdered version, and Tide detergent. Repair shops require the tank to be disinfected before they'll work on it so I do this often. I'm buying a wand attachment for a hose this weekend in plans for a week long trip in 8 days.

my 2008 8313 also has a 90 degree turn about 2 feet below the toilet. have had no problems with mine.

See my thread above, I was in the same situation you are in, RV Digest it and then a professional tank cleaning service was called.
i just made it thru ur post last year abt the plugged tank. by some chance did the sewer service call what they did line moleing?
can see why ya'll were high on the rv digest.
