DH did clean the tube to get it to lite the first time.
I hadn't thought about the water being hot and it not lighting. It had been turned off most of the day but it was in the 90's so I suppose it may not have cooled off much. We will fill the water heater and try it again. It makes sense and especially since it lit earlier in the day and then nothing.
Thank you all once again.

This is exactly what happens to us when running the fridge, hot water heater, and the AC... the 30 amp breaker pops. Any time I am camping in hot weather and using the air conditioner, I always switch the fridge and the hot water heater to gas.

caper-A huge thanks to you for your pointer on our water heater. That was it exactly because DH just filled it with water and flipped the switch and it works perfectly. You are a life saver for us as they couldn't get it in for weeks and we are leaving on vacation before that. This forum is wonderful! Again a big THANK YOU!
