Bunk Beds

We are anxiously waiting for delivery of our '09 rockwood 8313ss. I was wondering if anyone has a '08 or '09 rockwood w/ a swing bunk that could measure the size of the bunk mattress. I want to order sheets for the swing bunk. In our present camper, (Fleetwood Terry) I bought bunk sheets in Camping world but the sheets were too big for the bunks and only stretched out more. So, I found a site that custom makes sheets, any size you want but I don't know what size... I guess I need the length, width, and depth. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, from what I understand, the couch that unfolds into a air matress is a full size (double). Is this true? I am hoping to just get sheets in Walmart if that is the case.

Thanks again, Lori

We have an '08 8318ss which is basically the kin to yours. I don't have the measurements but what we do use are those real cotton'y feeling sheets -- feel like a cotton t-shirt. Those are generally smaller, but stretch for a double. In the case of the swing bed, no need to stretch, they just fit. You might want to give them a try.

One thing I found that I don't like about the swing bunk is that the clearance is so tight in the up position, that anything more than a sheet won't let it go to the up position. We have to leave ours in the down position since we also throw a comforter on for a blanket. But, they were height limited back there.

In the end, it seems to work out for our kids though....they love it.

We use sheet guarders to hold the sheets on our bunks. I found them in the housewares section at wally world. They seem to work great and we can use normal size sheets from the cheep store.
