Call FR if dealer is saying parts are delayed
Just a reminder if your dealer is stalling you on parts from forest river, call forest river directly. Chances are the dealer didn't do what they said or there was a glitch in the system. my Sabre has been at my dealership since July 8 getting repairs to damage the dealership had caused. the dealership was given photos per their request so they could order parts in advance. The pinbox cover was included with that list. They didn't have the part. A week ago, I heard it was on order and might be another week. Today I heard another 2 weeks. They know in leaving for the goshen rally in early August and I needed the trailer back to prep it, wash it and wax it. They told me it was back Ordered. I called don Hasty at forest river/palomino and he checked into for me. No order was found. He is getting the part expedited and shipped out today if able to catch the shipment, if not then tomorrow. To be fair this dealership has been great until now so it may have been a snafu but it serves as a reminder to follow up if your trailer or MH is delayed at a dealership for whatever reason. I thank forest river and especially don hasty as he has helped me through a lot of issues with my Sabre.

That is one of the big reasons I just had FR send me the parts directly and I brought them in with my trailer for the repairs. FR had them to me in just a few days. The service planner at the dealership said it probably saved me at least 3 weeks.

I just drug my trailer home from the dealer on Friday, had been there since it's June 16 appointment. We had a destination wedding in that window and hadn't planned any trips so I figured they could have it for 5 weeks and I could get it once and be done. Not so much. Apparently, 13.5k non ducted Dometic Brisk air II's are hard to get? Really? And they didn't send any other parts, they were waiting on the A/C. This is just an additional unit for the TH garage, so we still have the 15K up front, just takes forever. Thursday they told me it shipped, but had no tracking number and should be here in 2 weeks........From Indiana. I guess they strapped it to a turtle.
Just a bit frustrating. But, on the other hand, due to some QC/ workmanship issues, FR (Puma) has agreed to upgrade the unit to 50A and give us the 2nd A/C unit for free. I just have to pay for the A/C install. I came out ok, but the 4 trips to the dealer to get it all done is aggravating.

This is a very common ploy by RV dealers, to deflect anger from customers.
They wait to order parts until they have a large enough parts order, to save on shipping costs.
They blame the manufacturer so the customer won't be mad at them.

Yes, they are. As part of a deal with Puma to not ship it back to the factory for them to pull the slide, half the kitchen, and replace a sheet of subfloor that had an "extra" 2" hole in it, right smack in the middle of the living area that they just rolled the linoleum over and didn't care. I had asked for a quote to upgrade the unit to 50A and add the second A/C, I knew it was gonna cost me some serious $$. The dealer asked them what it would cost to upgrade to the 50A service while it was back at the factory. They offered a couple other options, and I took one that included plugging the hole from the underside and for the trouble they are taking care of the 50A upgrade and second A/C, rather than pay a hauler to transport it to Elkhart and back. I'm on the hook for the install of the A/C unit, which since they never put a roof vent in the garage at the factory is going to run about $550. I'm ok with that.
On a side note, I got an email today that the A/C unit and all the 50A parts showed up. They are going to inventory it to make sure its all there and let me know. Already have an appt next week. Guess it wasn't on a turtle!
