last weekend we had 12 (at least) trailers and motor homes vandalized at the local Speedway. Windows on one motor coach busted out, doors ripped off other units - some pried out to gain access, TV's alcohol, DVD and stereos stolen. cloths strewn all over the place. dishes stolen etc.

I'd be putting in 2 game cameras in mine if it was stored in a location where people were not around on a regular basis.
someone knows something.. they always do.

Stored at home doesn't always matter to thieves

Stored at home doesn't always matter to thieves. 2 of my neighbors one next door and the other 2 houses down Had the batteries stolen from their travel trailers, both on the same night. The thieves cut the battery cables and the straps on the battery boxes. Mine is behind a locked gate and chain link fence. They didn't bother mine. probably didn't want to try and carry a battery over a fence. gate is only 4 ft tall but fence is 6 feet. one neighbors was parked on the street and the others was in his driveway. Your probably safer at home, but not always.

They got into mine Thursday night. Stole both TVs. Bed cover. Cushions from our dinette. Tried taking the radio. An expensive throw rug and some snow jackets and boots. Click image for larger version

If there's anyone storing their RV anywhere there is a WiFi signal here's what I have setup. I use an old smart phone S4 with an APP on both new and old phones. The app is called ALFRED. You also need to log both phones into a Gmail account.
The App turns the old phone into a security camera that will alert you motion. It also has features that allows you to transmit voice, hear noise, switch from front to back cameras, turn on low light night vision, turn on the light, take snap shots & videos. I have mine setup so if someone tried breaking in it would set off motion alert and record it. I also used recently to catch an intruder. He's gone now.

Here's a screenshot of the APP. It's better than nothing and costs nothing.
