Carpenter bees

While I’m currently camping at Seaport Rv Campground in Mystic,CT, I was awoken last night to the sound of chewing
Couldn’t find anything outside or visible inside but when I banged on the spot where it sounded like it was coming from, the chewing stopped but I heard some buzzing. This went off and on thru the night.
I’m taking a guess it’s a carpenter bee
So having dealt with carpenter bees at home, I’m wondering if somehow one got in thru the AC unit and happen to find its way “to its new home” in the ductwork above the bed
So has anybody else had an issue like this, and what did you do to eliminate the unwanted pests?
At home my exterminator used chemicals that I’m not sure if I want to use them inside my camper.

FWIW... I would not hesitate to use a "bug bomb" in my RV. They have "friendly" bombs now that aren't explosive and "less evasive" than in the old days.

Nope. Give me the nastiest, 'kill everything,' make them wish they weren't born stuff.

I'm sorry, those things are awful, I wouldn't care what it took.

Me either, but I have drank from the hose, don't wear a hat or sunscreen, put my hands in grease, gasoline, carb cleaner, sewer lines, and spank the kids.... What do I know!
