Cooling question

I have a 36' lacrosse lite trailer with a single a unit in the center of the roof and a thermostat in the center of the trailer. When I first plug into shore power, the ac runs great and pumps out plenty of cold air, but after 6 hours or so, usually during the night, we wake up hot in the front bedroom. We leave the doors open and I shut the central vent to deflect the cold air elsewhere as much as possible. Is it possible that the thermostat area and inner walls are getting cool and staying cooler longer that the rest of the camper, thereby shutting down the compressor for the most part causing the extremities of the camper to get warm? Any ideas or suggestion greatly appreciated.

We use a small fan to circulate air from the bedroom to the living area.
