Wink DAMPRID removal from carpet

I am a new RV owner of only 1 month. Haven't even taken my first trip yet.

Since I live in Florida, one of the first things I did was to put DampRid containers in various areas of the RV as suggested. No problem there. The DampRid works great in removing excess moisture. However.........

In the process of replacing one of the DampRid containers that was full of liquid, the container slipped out of my hand and the liquid spilled on my bedroom carpet. YUCK !!!!!

I immediately threw a towel over the area and tried to soak up as much of the liquid as possible, BUT...........every time I check on the spot it is still WET.

Has anyone had to deal with this problem before? If so, please give me some tips on how to get this yucky stuff out of my carpet. OR..... will I need to replace the carpet.

Thanks for much for your time and replies.
