Dealer warranty question

We own a 2016 Rockwood 8289ws 5th wheel. The led panel on the fireplace only partially lights up. When I called our dealer he said to remove the fireplace and bring it to him and he would order it and it would take 8 weeks to get a new one. I thought it was odd that he told us to take it out our selves and I couldn't believe it would take 8 weeks to get one. So I contacted Forest River and they told me it would take 7 to 10 days. I asked if we could have one just shipped to us and he said no, but we could go to any FR dealer to take care of it. I am alittle upset with the dealer, there aren't any dealers very close to us. Just wondering what some of you would do in this instance.

I would take a picture of it send it to the dealer and tell him to order the new replacement. Then when he has it take the unit to him and have him install it. I would also tell them what FR told you....

This issue started on (10-15-2015) or did the Dealer Fix it and it has Re appeared? No need to remove it now,remove & Replace when the other is Installed! And find another Dealer! Youroo!!

We have had the issue since new, but have been using it quite a bit and right now seemed like a good time for us to address it.
