Direct tv

Just bot new fr Rookwood. Tried hook in Direct TV . no luck has Toshiba tv &,Genesis audio system. The jacks on the interior wall above the TV are confusing. Any help out there thanks

I would hook it up directly to the tv and make sure it works. Then move the cables around until you find the right one. I am not familiar with that model RV.

Model of trailer would help. Also does it have cable and sat hook ups?

I have both hook ups outside and both near the tv. To use the sat you plug in the dish outside in the sat input. Inside (near the tv) you need to plug in the power supply for the directv dish into the sat outlet. Then the cable box into the dish power supply. The dish needs something like 18v to run the receiver on the end of the dish.

Thanks. But your going to have to be more forthcoming with details. What are you confused about specifically? Does your hookups follow what I posted above? How do you have it all wired?

Direct TV requires a solid core coax cable from the dish to the main receiver. If you dont have the satellite hook up on the outside of the TT it wont work. Having just the cable hook up will not bring the signal in. You would have to run the wire in through a window or something. This is usually why there is a separate cable and satellite plug.
