dirty rear camera

Last week I was towing my Jeep for the first time and I had the rear camera on while driving so I could monitor it. We ran into a lot of rain on our trip. The picture looked like the camera had a lot of road grim on it so cleaned it several times, no good. The picture still is dirty. Any ideas out there?

Maybe you got moisture (condensation) and such inside the lens of the camera, you may have to take it apart and dry it out. or use something like a hair dryer to remove the moisture if thats what it is

Do you know how to take it apart? It looks like a sealed unit. I could be wrong since I have not gotten real up close to it. Just close enough to wipe the lens.

Turns out it was moisture in the camera. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how to keep moisture out? I can buy a new camera, but I can't find a direct replacement. The camera was made in 2013.

I've never encountered this problem, but a quick check on some other forums found that maybe you should use a moisture pack?

Has anyone had any experience with these?
