Disappointed
I recently got a unused micro lite 14fd TT. The owners manual was not with it so I bought one to learn how to maintain, winterize and operate the trailer and its equipment. The manual is to vague. It only scratches the surface of operations of the equipment. Like draining fresh water tank. It shows a picture that looks nothing like mine. It says to turn valve to drain. Mine has a push pull valve. It talks about lighting water heater and furnace but doesn't say where, how or automatically lighting are manual. I like specific & to the point instructions. It mentions appliances but say that it would be impossible to list them. If there is less than a few hundred listing them would be easy. Just words and paper. List links by model number for instructions manuals. Surely they have record of what microwave they installed in my TT. Ill get off my soap box. I was just expecting to learn all there was to know about my particular unit. I learned more by walking around and looking than the manual tells.
PS
It also says use chlorine solution to sanitize water systems. Run all fixtures to drain. Flush with clean water. Then later it says never put chlorine in drains. Hmmm.

the general owners manuals on most RVs tend to be crap. i think you will have more luck going to the manufacturer sites for your appliances and looking for individual owners manuals. they are much more helpful. good luck.

You can usually get pretty good advice on this forum. Ask any specific question you may have and there will be someone on here that can help.
Hang in there, it's not as bad as it seems.
Good luck and happy camping!

it's not a surprise. this is talked about quite often. most of us recommend not paying for the owners manuals. it's a waste of money.
it's pretty common issue in the RV industry.
only a few brands make a decent manual.

Those manuals make a great campfire starter, however! And, you can poke at the logs and coals with the useless slide locks, as well! Randy
