Do airfoils save fuel pulling 5th wheel?

Do these things really work to save fuel.

I would love to see some wind tunnel tests and pictures on our rigs, perhaps some have been done, not sure, with sports cars its all about laminar flow and how it leaves the car. I think our rigs are like barn doors and with all the appendadges on the roof rule out good laminar flow.

I think a spoiler on the back of the rig might have more effect,

Perhaps some one can chime in that has a truck aerofoil with some MPG data?
