Door lock jammed on Rockwood A 212HW

Help,

I opened my 2017 Rockwood A212HW A frame after the final snow, checked it all and it looked great...locked it up and went back to it two weeks later.
The "dead bolt" second lock on the door handle is jammed. Cannot get the key into it. I called a locksmith, he spent a few minutes and said that the lock tumbler was frozen (not cold frozen just stuck) could not fix it. The problem, I can't move the unit with the A frame in the raised position. I have called my dealer to get a replacement lock - but I don't know if I want to rely on a lock like this. has anyone else had a problem like this?
Currently i have inserted penetrating oil to see if this could loosen it up. It's plenty warm outside so its not ice. My next move is to clean out the outside storage space under the bed, and yes, have my wife climb in and try to lift the bed to get to the inside of the cabin and pen the door...
Has anyone added any other lock devices for interior and exterior? Has anyone else ever had to drill out this lock?

Thanks,
Stuck at home

I did not receive a key to the door when I took delivery of my A-frame - and didn't catch until our 2nd trip. They gave me the storage compartment and outside storage keys, but no door key.

The dealer could not find the key, so they replaced the entire lock assembly. Took about 5 minutes. Getting the assembly might be the most difficult and time consuming aspect. However, I'm sure that the assemblies are pretty standard from one pop-up to another - any make would do.

hope this helps

Had the same problem with our Mini Llite a while back. Had to remove a window to get inside. Then unscrewed the lock from inside. Replaced the lock with one from our friendly rv supply store. Don't know if you can get inside your a frame. Ours Han an emergency exit window that was screwed on from the outside. Good luck.
